AI as a creative assistant
Aude Gandon from Nestlé brought the spotlight to the ever-growing diversity of digital channels. Adapting to the specific formats and channel's best practices is key, and AI can already help with that.
She emphasized the need to be responsive to evolving cultures and emerging topics.
The real value, she said, lies in the generative power of AI leveraged by the unique strategy of the brand. This was how one of the most original and successful Nestle’s campaigns- Milkmaid (AI)- was born.
Gandon’s closing words resonated deeply: "We are not competing with AI; we are competing with other marketers who will embrace AI."

Reaching customers in a respectful and engaging way
Googler Gaurav Bhaya delved into the critical themes of privacy and performance. Google’s initiatives ‘The Privacy Sandbox’ and ‘Performance Max’ are shaping the future of online advertising in the cookieless world. According to Bhaya: “Despite the rise of AI, respecting, reaching, and engaging customers is as important as ever.”
Community building and monetizing content
TikTok is now China’s 3d biggest ads revenue platform. In 2022, TikTok ad revenues topped $9.9 billion, an increase of 155% over the previous year. It reached this position in the shortest period of time (since the launch in 2020), by taking the leading approach in community building.
Employing a successful moderation strategy to filter out negative comments, TikTok creates safe online spaces for digital creators to express themselves and thrive.
The platform's transformative influence extends to multiple industries. One example Thomas Wlazik, the general manager of DACH & Israel, shared was of a TikTok community for book readers. The sale of books reviewed on TikTok skyrocketed.
Wlazik's insights underscore the profound impact of TikTok on the industry-wide content creation and audience engagement standards. Something that was cleverly picked up by X.
